6. Outcomes of the practice

The output of professional practice is the Midwife's Diary.

The midwife's diary is primarily used to record the professional practice at individual units and to assess the student at these practices.

• The diary contains general information about the placement, information about the course of the placement, learning objectives, and records of health and safety (at the start of the academic year and at individual workplaces).
• It is used to record individual procedures (examination of a woman during pregnancy, during labour, after delivery, examination of a newborn).
• The diary is presented during the final evaluation in each semester, during the final practical examination and the state final examination.
