5. Description of the course and control of the practice

The professional practice takes place within the framework of the compulsory course Practice, which is completed by credit. According to the recommended curriculum, the student registers for the Internship course in the 6th semester of his/her studies. The student should choose the internship taking into account the chosen (or contemplated) topic of his/her bachelor thesis. The total scope of the internship for students who started their studies in the academic year 2013/2014 to 2019/2020 is 22 weeks (the internship is divided into five sub-sections). For students who started their studies in the academic year 2020/2021 and later, the total scope of the internship is 14 weeks. Basic information about the internship is provided on the Department of Tourism's website https://kcr.vspj.cz/studium/ostatni-informace/odborna-praxe-studentu, especially the Internal Instructions of the Head of the Department on internship for students of the Tourism programme, which explains the basic characteristics of the internship, its timing, the course of the internship, etc.
