Characteristics of the field of study Applied Informatics (AI)

In the current accreditation of the study field of Applied Informatics, the following characteristics of the study field are defined:

Profile of the graduate of the field and the objectives of the study

Through the study, the graduate will acquire the abilities and skills necessary for the following activities:

  • creating custom user programs to meet customer needs,
  • creating and maintaining information systems,
  • creating websites and advanced web applications,
  • providing and maintaining information systems,
  • IS architect,
  • computer network administration officer or manager,
  • information system administration officer or manager,
  • computer graphic designer,
  • HW, SW salesperson,
  • assistant in a HW, SW company,
  • manager of a HW, SW company.

Qualification readiness and degree of professional adaptability

The above skills will enable graduates to work in the following professions:

  • application programmer,
  • system programmer,
  • computer network administrator,
  • information system administrator or architect,
  • salesperson, assistant, HW and SW manager.

Characteristics of institutions where graduates can apply their education

  • companies engaged in the sale and installation of HW and SW products,
  • DTP studios,
  • companies involved in the development and maintenance of application software,
  • companies or organizations operating an information system,
  • companies involved in the creation of Internet and intranet presentations and applications,
  • business and consulting firms, state administration and local government.
