Description of the Placement Post

The student must complete the practical placement in such entities that will allow him/her to practice at least one of the areas defined in Chapter Activities to Practise, and at an appropriate professional level – the practical placement cannot comprise mechanical performance of non-professional or auxiliary activities (warehouse work, etc.). The student must be assigned a responsible person whose expertise is at least at the Bachelor level (in exceptional cases this regulation may be waived) who will be in charge of the professional content of the student's practical placement for its duration.

The entity (firm) offering the placement should meet the following requirements, among others:

• can engage the student in solving actual and real-world problems using current technologies and methods
• has sufficient professional potential to help the student expand his/her knowledge and skills
• has the staff capacity to provide expert guidance and supervision to the student
• allows the student to be involved in the processes of the organisation (regular meetings, etc.)
• enables the student to participate in the team activity and work control system

In particular, the entity (company) offering the placement should specify in the placement offer:

• the exact job position, including, for example, the development environment in which the student will be working during the internship (example: engineer - Siemens NX) - see also Description of the placement process
• what the student will learn (example: creating 3D models, meeting customer requirements efficiently)
• whether the student is offered any financial compensation
• will the student be provided with meals or accommodation
