Workplaces / Providers of Professional Internships

A provider of professional internships may only be a facility/organisation/workplace that is registered as a healthcare facility, as a social service, or has the provision of social work for the target group of people with mental illness included in its scope of activities. These may be governmental, non-governmental or non-profit organisations.

Examples of workplaces for this type of practice

• psychiatric departments within general hospitals,
• psychiatric hospitals,
• psychiatric clinics,
• mental health centres,
• outreach community teams,
• sheltered housing,
• supported employment,
• therapeutic communities,
• special care homes (upon consultation with the internship supervisor),
• aftercare services, etc.
