Description of the place of internship

The internships take place mainly in various tourism establishments (travel agencies, accommodation facilities, tourist information centres, tourism organisations, tourism departments at regional and municipal authorities, etc.), or, in agreement with the internship supervisor, in suitable economic positions in public administration bodies or commercial entities (invoicing, customer service, communication with clients in a foreign language, etc.), either in the Czech Republic or abroad. The job description must be relevant to the programme studied and in line with the graduate's profile. It should include interaction with clients, working with technologies and applications, communicating in a foreign language, etc.

The student can choose the place of internship independently or use the offers from companies and institutions provided by the school through the Internship Portal.

The entity (company) offering the internship should specify in particular in the internship offer:

• the exact job position,
• what the student will learn (e.g. how to organise a tour),
• whether the student is offered any financial compensation,
• whether the student will be provided with free meals or accommodation.

The entity (company) offering the internship should meet the following requirements, among others:

• engages the student in solving actual and real-world problems using current technologies and methods,
• possesses sufficient professional potential to help the student expand their knowledge and skills,
• provides expert guidance and supervision to the student,
• enables the student to participate in the processes of the organisation (regular meetings, etc.),
• provide the student with the opportunity to be involved in the team activity and work control system,
• can offer the student a topic for their bachelor's thesis.
